housewarming

the other night i attended a lovely housewarming party for my (absolutely gorgeous) friend Reba. little did i know that among the beautiful, perfectly-dressed-and-groomed guests i would meet that night (seriously one of the best-looking groups of people i've witnessed), one of them would be Interweb/San Francisco royalty, miss Zana Bayne. I've admired Zana's impeccable personal style, clothing taste and art projects through various websites for a while, and have been following her blog Garbage Dress religiously since she started keeping it a few months ago. Not only does she have an amazing, refreshing perspective of the current fashion-meets-art world, she's also super friendly and totally amazing in person. it's always exciting to realize people are even better in "real life" than they are in pixel form!
here are some photos i've grabbed from Zana's blog from the night of the party:

what i wore to the party: a vintage dress and chloe-inspired flats, with my vintage pyrex dish as accessory
(the bean dip was delicious)
ps: why do i look like i'm 12? maybe because i insist on wearing vintage children's clothing. i had to convince an incredulous acquaintance this night that i was, really and truly nearing the ripe old age of 23.

the hostess Reba, always gorgeous and so classy

the food at this party was to die for, hand-dipped chocolate strawberries, cheese and crackers and stuffed mushrooms, oh my!

check out some photos of Zana and her work:

it's always exciting to me when young people are doing new things with textiles, art and clothing, and this girl is definitely pushing the envelope in some amazing ways.

( & you can see more of her work, exhibitions, etc, on her website!)
